Denver based REAL TRENDS is a publication that provides the real estate industry with market statistics and trends. After many years of tracking real estate firms in the US, Real Trends has published in first Canadian Top 200 Brokerage report. These companies handled 392,898 closed transaction sides with a sales volume of $111,129,231,104 in 2009.
Of the 200 brokerages listed in this report, RE/MAX held 130 (65%) spots, followed by Royal Lepage 28 (14%), and Coldwell Banker at 17 spots (8.55).

RE/MAX has been awarded "Most Trusted Residential REALTOR" as voted on by their readers. The survey conducted for the annual awards revealed that the majority of Canadians trust RE/MAX for all their residential real estate needs, ranking RE/MAX Associates five-times more "trusted" than the second place brand.

In January 2005, "Entrepreneur" magazine ranked RE/MAX among the top 10 franchises in its 26th Annual Franchise 500 survey. It also named RE/MAX: "Best of the Best" for real estate services; the highest-ranking real estate franchise in "Low Cost Franchises"; and No. 7 overall in "America's Top Global Franchises."

The RE/MAX network found itself in familiar territory in the 2004 REAL Trends 500 survey, once again leading the rankings. RE/MAX offices have maintained a leading presence in the annual study for nearly a decade. RE/MAX offices captured 169 - or 30 percent - of the top 567 spots (more than 500 due to ties) in the study, which ranks brokerages by closed transaction sides.

RE/MAX again dominated the "REAL Trends" survey in 2003. RE/MAX offices accounted for more than 30 percent of the 500 largest firms in the United States. RE/MAX offices accounted for 68 percent (80 of 117) of offices that topped 1,000 transaction sides in 2002, and six of the top 10 firms ranked by sales volume per office were with RE/MAX.
